Frequently Asked Questions

It adds a native Bundle product type to WooCommerce. Combine several products into one purchasable bundle with a fixed or auto-calculated price, show customers exactly what they save, and keep stock, cart and orders behaving correctly — one cart line item, native WooCommerce price fields so sorting and filtering keep working, and full HPOS support.
Yes. Pro is an add-on, not a replacement. It needs WooCommerce 8.0+ and Codeholt Bundles for WooCommerce v1.0.0+ installed and active. Pro boots straight after the free plugin and plugs into its public extension hooks, so no core files are modified.
Free gives you two: auto-calculated (the sum of the bundled products) and fixed bundle price. Pro adds a third — percentage discount, X% off the products total. It respects child products that are already on sale and resyncs automatically whenever a bundled product’s price changes.
Yes, in Pro. Start and end dates are saved as WooCommerce’s own native sale dates, so core’s scheduled-sales cron flips the price at the boundary. Savings badges and price displays follow automatically — there is no custom cron to go wrong.
Free includes Table and Compact. Pro adds List, Grid and Inline, plus a Custom layout builder where you choose 1–4 columns, item style (bordered, soft or flat), image size, and whether prices and quantity pills are shown. Layouts can be set site-wide or overridden per bundle.
Yes. Pro adds a Custom CSS panel that loads after the plugin styles on every page that renders a bundle — product page, shortcode, block and Elementor widget. Target the .cbfw-* classes and reuse the --cbfw-* CSS variables. HTML is stripped on save.
Yes, in Pro. Set a minimum and maximum quantity per order on each bundle. The rules are applied to the product page quantity input and enforced again on add-to-cart and cart updates, counting whatever is already in the cart.
Yes. Bundle contents and total savings render correctly in both the classic cart and checkout and the WooCommerce Cart & Checkout blocks, and carry through to the order-received page, order emails and the admin order screen.
The free plugin ships an HPOS-aware, cached overview under WooCommerce → Bundles: bundles sold, total revenue, total customer savings, your top-selling bundle and a per-bundle sales table with revenue-share bars. Pro adds a 7/30/90/365-day period selector and CSV export in the same tab.
Yes. Export every bundle as a re-importable JSON file (bundled products are matched by SKU) or as a CSV report, then import them back through a drag-and-drop dropzone. With Pro active, the discount percentage, quantity rules and sale dates travel with the JSON too.
It degrades gracefully. Your bundles keep working on the free plugin’s behaviour and nothing is deleted — percentage-discount bundles simply fall back to auto pricing on the next sync. Reactivating restores everything.
WordPress 6.5 or later, WooCommerce 8.0 or later, PHP 7.4 or later, and the free Codeholt Bundles for WooCommerce plugin v1.0.0 or later. You can also override any template by copying it from the plugin’s templates/ folder into yourtheme/codeholt-bundles-for-woocommerce/.
