Yes. Pro is an add-on, not a replacement. It requires License For Envato 1.3.0 or later to be installed and active, because Pro consumes hooks the free plugin exposes from that version onward. If the free plugin is missing, Pro says so in the admin rather than failing silently.
The free plugin allows one. Pro lets you set the number, so a single purchase code can be active on as many domains as your product warrants. The first activation is always stored by the free plugin and the extras are tracked by Pro.
Yes. Pro hosts a ZIP and a changelog per Envato item and serves them through a token-authenticated REST endpoint. Your customers see the update in their WordPress dashboard exactly as they would for any wordpress.org plugin — but only while their license is valid.
It degrades gracefully. The Pro feature modules stop running and licensing falls back to the free plugin’s single-domain behaviour. Nothing is deleted — the extra activations stay in their own table and come straight back when you reactivate.
Yes. Pro includes a blacklist that runs at priority 5, ahead of any other verification, so a blocked purchase code or domain is rejected before it reaches the rest of the licensing chain.
Yes. Manual issuance lets you create a license one at a time, paste in a list, or generate them in batches — useful for bundle deals, replacements, or customers who bought somewhere other than Envato.
Two ways. Email notifications fire on every activation and deactivation, and webhooks send HMAC-SHA256 signed JSON to Zapier, Make or your own endpoint, so you can push license events into whatever you already use.
