Privacy Policy

How Codeholt collects, uses and protects information across our site, storefront and license API.

Last updated: July 31, 2026 · Applies to codeholt.com, app.codeholt.com and the Codeholt license API.

This Privacy Policy explains how Codeholt (“Codeholt”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use codeholt.com, app.codeholt.com and related checkout pages, dashboard, and license API (the “Service”).

1. Information We Collect

  • Account information: name and email address, provided at checkout or registration.
  • Order information: products purchased, plan, price, currency, order status, and license keys issued to you.
  • License usage data: domains you activate against a license, and version-check requests made by the licensed software.
  • Payment information: handled directly by our payment processors (Stripe and/or Paddle). Codeholt does not receive or store your full card number.
  • Contact form submissions: the name, email address and message you send through the contact form on codeholt.com.
  • Support communications: messages you send us through support tickets or email.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and similar log data collected automatically for security and fraud prevention (e.g. to detect the country for tax purposes at checkout).
A note on the software you install
Our WordPress plugins run on your server. The free plugin verifies Envato purchase codes directly against the Envato API, and Codeholt never receives those requests. The Pro plugin contacts us for two things only: activating or deactivating your own license, and checking whether a newer version is available. License records, activation logs and the purchase codes your buyers enter stay in your own WordPress database — we cannot see them. Webhooks you configure send data to an endpoint you choose, under your control, not ours.

2. How We Use Information

  • To process orders, issue and deliver license keys, and manage subscriptions.
  • To operate the customer dashboard, including domain activation and software downloads.
  • To send transactional emails: purchase confirmation, license delivery, renewal reminders, expiry notices, and subscription-cancellation confirmations.
  • To respond to support requests and to enquiries sent through the contact form on codeholt.com.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • To calculate applicable tax based on your billing country.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

  • Payment processors (Stripe, Paddle) to process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Email delivery providers to send transactional emails.
  • Service providers who host our infrastructure and database, under confidentiality obligations.
  • Others where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Codeholt or our users.

4. Cookies

We use essential cookies and session storage required to keep you logged in and to protect checkout forms against cross-site request forgery. On codeholt.com we set only the cookies WordPress and Elementor need in order to work. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

5. Data Retention

We retain account, order, and license data for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with tax, accounting, and legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account as described below, subject to records we are required to keep for legal or accounting purposes.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@codeholt.com. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard measures — including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by our hosting and payment providers. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date above.
